Meriton Hotel

This project involved illuminating the iconic gold architectural structure at the top of the Meriton Hotel, creating a striking nighttime feature while ensuring full compliance with the stringent lighting requirements of the Melbourne City Council. The solution utilised 24 high-performance floodlights, each selected with specific beam angles, optics and aiming positions to deliver precise illumination across the structure. By carefully controlling the light distribution and minimising light spill, the design successfully enhanced the landmark's visual impact while limiting obtrusive light and meeting all relevant council requirements. The result is an elegant, energy-efficient lighting installation that showcases the building's architectural feature without compromising the surrounding environment.
